After 3 decades of working in Mental and Physical Health Care, I now enjoy working with a diversity of clients in a number of different capacities.
HEALTH CARE CONSULTANT (Child, Adolescent, Adult, Couples and Families)
Most recently I have been advising clients who have concerns about their lives, relationships and health. Individuals who were traumatized often suffer from sadness or depression, guilt, anger, rage or anxiety, as well as headaches, body aches and pains, substance abuse, insomnia, and/or eating disorders. I also work with Couples or partners who are struggling within their relationships. Families also consult with me to learn a better way to relate and communicate with one another. Especially challenging for families is when children enter adolescence and begin pulling away from the family and aligning more with their peer group.
Holistic individualized programs are designed for clients with an emphasis on mind body integration. Clients are empowered to take charge of their health care by applying a combination of preventative, alternative and restorative practices into their lives rather than the initial use of medications. Treatments plans address issues of sleep hygiene, exercise physiology (walking, running, swimming, yoga), nutrition/diet (fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains),stress management (meditation, self-hypnosis, mindfulness, guided imagery, social intelligence), coping strategies (positive self-talk), hereditary predisposition (genetic makeup), social support (family, friends and community), spirituality(faith in a higher power) and supplements (with informed caution).
This nontraditional health care approach focuses on the essential mind body connection for Complete Integrated Health that will enhance both overall health and well-being.
MEDICAL RESEARCH CONCIERGE
Clients who have been diagnosed with an illness or disease and recommended a treatment or surgery by their physician consult with me. I research their condition and provide the most up-to-date medical, as well as complementary and alternative medical treatments and surgeries, so that the Client can make a more informed decision as to the most appropriate care.
As a Medical Advocate, I support clients at home and in the hospital for issues surrounding trauma induced by: Grief over the loss of a loved one; Confronting debilitating illness or disease; Facing a terminal illness; End of life resolution and Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder, (PTSD), especially troops returning from war zones. After 3 decades of working in Mental and Physical Health Care, I now enjoy working with a diversity of clients in a number of different capacities.
